B- Best Friend: I have so many friends, I can't name just one as my best; unless I say Matt of course. But my best childhood friend is Kim, my best Wellington friend is Amanda, my best blogger friend is Tara, and my best Saratoga friends are Nikki, Ilene, and Jamie (Love you all!)


C- Cake or Pie: I guess I would choose pie over cake, but my all-time fave is chocolate.

D- Day of Choice: Definitely Saturday....when we're all together!

E- Essential Item: Matt said I should put laptop (since I spend all my time on it now that I'm totally addicted to Blogging), but I was thinking Dr. Pepper (which I'm supposed to be quitting).

G- Gummy bears or worms: Bears--especially chocolate covered cinnamon bears!

R- Ring size: All I know is that it's not 7 anymore (wedding ring no longer fits).


S- Season: I already mentioned how much I love Summer, but I also like Winter when it's beautifully white outside and I'm warm and cozy in my house, I love the beautiful colors of Fall, and the new life that Spring brings--I'm not too hard to please (sometimes)!!

Y- Your Favorite Food: I LOVE Mexican food--especially cheese enchiladas, but from the looks of me it's no mystery that I really like most food.

Expanding Horizons

Sunday afternoon Matt & I took the kids down to Springville for the Spring Salon Art Exhibit. We were going in support of Matt's cousin Alyssa who had one of her paintings accepted into the show. On our way there Stetson, Sadie, and McCrae all fell asleep so upon arriving we asked Sydney if she would please just wait out with the sleeping kids while we ran in to find Todd, Danelle & the kids (Matt's sister and family) and check out Alyssa's painting. Well, all did not go as planned--we had been in the museum for only about ten minutes before Matt's dad was calling Todd's cell phone to tell us Sydney was axiously waiting for us out in the van. So I went out to the van to sit with the kids; I had made up my mind that I was not even going to try to wake them up and fight them all through the museum--so I sat there for about forty-five minutes waiting for Matt & Sydney to come back out. By the time they made it back out I was just a little bit upset and I was not about to go back in by myself to try and find Alyssa'a paintings amongst the thousands of others that were there. (Yes, I was being very stubborn and hard-headed, not to mention ornery; I know that just doesn't even sound like me...haha!)
Well, with a little persuasion I did go back into the Museum with Sydney, and then Matt and the rest of the kids soon followed. I was surprisingly drawn to the whole Art thing; it's something I've never really had much opportunity to take part in and I assumed it just wasn't for me, but I was wrong. We wandered about looking at all the amazing works of art for at least another hour, and the kids did surprisingly well. I believe it is something I shall like to do again someday.

Too Much Silliness!

On Friday our Ward had a Silly Party; it was so much fun!! Everyone was supposed to wear something silly, act silly, and bring a silly refreshment to share. We made sculptures or carvings out of fruits and vegetables, we showed off our own silly talents (Stetson did his famous armpit farting to the tune of Rubber Ducky, Sydney showed her trick of Mr. Big Nose, and I read a few poems from Shel Silverstein's Runny Babbit book). My refreshment was the Kitty Litter Cake, thanks to Racquel's idea--it was the hit of the party. We had so much fun, we laughed so hard we had achy cheeks and headaches. Everyone should take the opportunity to indulge in such lighthearted fun once in awhile!

Tonight we went down to UVU and watched Jace play ball. It was sooo cold; but in spite of the wintry weather we had a great time! Stetson especially loves to go watch Jace play--he has become one of his biggest fans!! The kids think it is so cool to have a "famous" cousin, and I think it is so cool that Jace takes the time to give them all a hug , 'high-fives', or whatever the request may be. (Like an autographed Wolverine game ball.)
Jace, we think you're the greatest, and we're so proud of your accomplishments. Keep up the Good Work--We Love You!!

Spring has Sprung!

I just love Spring and the new life it brings! The flowers that seem to burst forth with such vibrant color, and especially the new life of four baby birds whose new beginnings are taking place right outside my front door. I've always loved how springtime brings new life not only to mother nature and the great outdoors, but also to my spirit. The warm weather seems to clear the cobwebs out of the corners of my soul! (I guess that means I better get busy cleaning them cobwebs out of the corners of my home as well.) After this past week of having the kids home for Spring Break I can't wait for summer--I'm sure some of you must think I'm crazy but I really love having them home with me, and being able to go and do as we please without worrying about following schedules. Only six more weeks--HOORAY!!

Sadie's newest haircut!

Here is Sadie's newest peice of work, I think this makes five haircuts she has given herself, I've lost count. All I know is the third time was definitely the charm. Back in September she got a hold of my haircutting scissors and had the whole left side of her hair completely gone before I caught her, so our only option was to give her a short pixie cut (a boy cut as she put it). She has obviously learned nothing from the traumatic experience it was for me and her because she thought it would just be fun to try it again while we were down visiting Nana yesterday, when she took a couple of small chunks out of her bangs. Well that wasn't enough because tonight while I had sisters from the ward here at my house for an Enrichment Meeting she decided to cut off all remaining bangs! I am just going to resort myself to the fact that we are going to face many bad hair days with her!!

Deal or NO Deal!!

What a way to spend your Birthday! At least that's what I thought. Boy was I wrong!! Some friends and I had been making plans to go to lunch for my B-day, until we found out there was going to be casting calls for Deal or No Deal in SLC. So Ilene and I thought it would be fun to go try out in the morning then meet Nikki and Jamie for lunch afterward. This is how our day went: leave the house at 8:30 and head for the Sandy TRAX Station, saw a yard sale on the way and stopped--I got a new stroller to go walking with!, rode Trax to RCWilleys Warehouse on 2100 So. and arrived at approximately the same time as 1,000 other people (that's not counting the 5,000 people that were there ahead of us or the 4,000 people who came after us), stood in line for about 8 hrs., did my 20 sec spill for them and got sent home (6:00 pm)! Needless to say we didn't make it for lunch, we got a hot dog while waiting in line. But at least I can say I tried.

What a Ride!

What an awesome ride!! I just got home from a girls night out with some of the girls from our ward. We went to the movie "27 Dresses" and it was a riot! When we came out of the movie theater it was just starting to snow, but as we traveled on down the highway it became increasingly worse. Then we got off the freeway and started making our way down the back roads to come home, and found our way to a road block. The detour signs were all a little off kilter and took us on some winding path through a neighborhood; in the pitch black of the night with snowflakes pelting into the windshield from the forces of nature. (As Kyra best put it: "This is like a ride at Disneyland!") In a van filled with five giddy women, all out past bedtime.....it was quite the party!! I am ever so greatful for my husband; who stayed home and put the kids to bed so I could have a little FUN!!

Here We Gooooo!!

I've been wanting to set up my own Blog for awhile now (since Tara M. introduced me to the wonderful world of blogging). I love being able to stay connected with far away friends and family. I have been frequently logging onto and checking out friends blogs; and have even spent many nights awake checking out their friends and families blogs. I'm sure mine will be quite novice in comparison, but I hope over time I'll get better and better! In the meantime, I hope you all enjoy Cruisin' along with the Coxes!
